We are happy to inform our library customers that HARRASSOWITZ is a proud distributor of transformative agreements for John Benjamins Publishing Company journals.
John Benjamins Publishing Company is an independent, family-owned academic publisher with a focus on linguistics and related fields. John Benjamins publishes at present 86 hybrid journals, which are topical and highly-specialized. All John Benjamins Read &Publish agreements are set up with a customized title portfolio and include uncapped Open Access publishing.
Benefits at a glance:
- Easy to implement as the Read & Publish arrangement fits in with the annual subscription renewal process
- Flexibility in choice of journals to read as it allows institutions to select which journals they want to include in their subscription for perpetual read access
- Maximum freedom for authors to choose where to publish as they can submit to any of the journals published by John Benjamins
- No administrative or budgetary limitations as there is no cap on Open Access articles per year
- Clarity for authors as they know at the time of submission whether the article will qualify or not
- No double payments as the arrangement has a built-in offset for participating institutions
