The Library Congress (which is also the 113th BiblioCon) will take place from June 24 to 27 at the Messe & Congress Centrum Bremen, Germany, under the motto #BibliothekenEntschlossenDemokratisch (#LibrariesDevotedToDemocracy).

HARRASSOWITZ real-time API for Folio |
 We are pleased to announce the real-time Folio API for ordering monographs is now in production
The integrated HARRASSOWITZ Folio API for Monographs enables you to order any monographic title within Fokus, the HARRASSOWITZ system for acquisition and management of scholarly resources. After ordering, the API will submit a data file to your Folio system immediately, set up the order there, and exchange the correct order data.
HARRASSOWITZ is pleased to further support Folio libraries in their workflows.

List of Contemporary German Belles Lettres Authors |
HARRASSOWITZ has recently updated its Contemporary German Belles Lettres Program with a revised list of authors.
First compiled by HARRASSOWITZ in 1971, the author list is updated periodically and has been extended once again to include 97 new authors.
The HARRASSOWITZ Contemporary German Belles Lettres Program is an Approval Plan based on an author list of approximately 1350 renowned novelists, poets, and dramatists writing in the German language. Dedicated specialists at HARRASSOWITZ curate and categorize the literary works and criticism of contemporary living authors into three levels of coverage:
- a Comprehensive List of Authors,
- a Selective List of Authors,
- and a Core List of Authors.
Our trained selectors constantly monitor prize-winning authors and those whose work is positively reviewed in literary sections of prominent newspapers to support the HARRASSOWITZ Belles Lettres service. Customized lists for your library are also available.
Some changes to your Approval Plan may occur as new authors have been added to the list while others have been moved up a category due to their growing prominence. However, if you are currently using a self-defined list of authors, there will be no changes to your plan.
The latest author lists are available in Fokus under the Approval Plans tab and Approval Plan Services.
