| Bernd Alois Zimmermann - Complete edition |
The first two volumes of the historical-critical edition of his works, writings, and letters are now available The Bernd Alois Zimmermann Complete Edition presents the composer's entire musical oeuvre -supplemented by his writings and a selection of his extensive correspondence - in a historical-critical edition.
Zimmermann's work impresses with its complexity, multidimensionality, and breadth. The unique aesthetic and creative conditions of his work open up new, forward-looking perspectives for the editorial concept of the complete edition. This is particularly evident in the close interconnection between the individual works and in the innovative use of media components - electronics and tape parts - which play an essential role in a great deal of his central compositions.
