|
Libraries activated for Online Renewal Management (ORM) in Fokus can now access their title lists and submit their renewal instructions for 2019. If you wish to request activation of Online Renewal Management for your Fokus account, please contact service@harrassowitz.de.
Libraries that are not using Online Renewal Management have been sent a renewal e-mail with the 2019 HARRASSOWITZ Renewal Spreadsheet, including instructions. If your library has not received this renewal e-mail, please contact service@harrassowitz.de.
Renewal instructions should be submitted to HARRASSOWITZ before September 1, 2018 through Online Renewal Management or by returning the completed Renewal Spreadsheet.

2018 Charleston Conference Scholarship
|

| HARRASSOWITZ Accepting Applications for the 2018 Charleston Conference Scholarship
|
HARRASSOWITZ is pleased to offer once again a $1,000 scholarship to attend the Annual Charleston Conference that takes place November 5-9, 2018, in Charleston, SC. The scholarship is to be awarded to a librarian or paraprofessional who is currently working in a library and who has not yet attended a Charleston Conference.
Pursuant to the 2018 Charleston Conference theme of “Oh Wind, if winter comes, can spring be far behind?” from Percy Bysshe Shelly’s poem “Ode to the West Wind”, applicants are asked to write an essay of no more than 1,000 words on the following topic:
What does “Oh Wind, if winter comes, can spring be far behind?” mean to libraries and vendors?
Essays should be sent to scholarship@harrassowitz.de by July 15, 2018 and should be accompanied by a one-page resume. HARRASSOWITZ will notify the winner of the scholarship on August 15, 2018.
All applications will be acknowledged and will be reviewed by a panel of librarians. The scholarship must be used for the 2018 conference. Only applications from first-time Charleston attendees will be accepted.
All applicants will be notified of the results.
